Frank Corniola, managing director of Drumtek, DRUMscene magazine and The Ultimate Drummers Weekend cited Dave in DRUMscene as one of the ‘brilliant and unique Australian drummers’ who has ‘contributed in [his] own way to the development of Australian drumming’. At just eighteen, Dave received an invitation to join the renowned Mike Nock Quartet and, at twenty, came second in the prestigious National Jazz Awards. Today, having worked with a long list of Australian and international luminaries - including Joe Lovano, Bob Berg, Bernie McGann, James Morrison, Don Burrows, Vince Jones, Ten Part Invention and Mark Isaacs - he is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most important drummers.
Dave will present a drum clinic on Saturday 20th June 2015, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Venue 505, following a performance by his new quartet in the same venue on the previous night.
