SOULFUL HARMONIES AND SUPPLE GROOVES

The vibrant and soulful sound-world of Mark Ginsburg’s native South Africa is evoked in this powerful project featuring some of Sydney’s finest jazz and world musicians.

Compositions by great jazz pioneers including Abdullah Ibrahim, Hugh Masakela and Bheki Mseleku will take you on a fascinating musical journey. Their unique approach fuses traditional African songs, gospel, ragas and contemporary jazz to create a truly multi-cultural sound.

A committed advocate of building bridges between South Africa and his newer home Australia, Ginsburg has frequently toured and performed at festivals and concerts across South Africa. His deep understanding of the South African musical landscape can be heard in many of his projects.
