A rare opportunity for lovers of jazz to experience the virtuosity of Ten Part Invention. Hailed as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of Australian Jazz and one of the greatest large ensembles to emerge from Australia, Ten Part Invention was created as a flexible medium for Australian jazz composers and improvisers. Your host for the evening will be founder, the silver fox of jazz and ‘raconteur extraordinaire’, John Pochée OAM.

The members constitute a substantial part of Australian modern jazz history and promise music that is unique, committed and forward looking:
